I’m Adam Newman, a Network Engineer.
I am into a variety of technologies, but I focus primarily on networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls. I’ve been involved with networking and unix-based systems since the mid 1990s.
I have worked in the ISP (internet service provider) arena, doing everything from dial-up tech support, to being a member of a nation-wide phone company’s core Internet Engineering group. I have worked for notable companies such as Mozilla, Groupon, Orbitz, Chicago Sun Times, and Playboy. I have also worked in venture capital, and have had my own company.
Aside from networking, I am also a fan of virtualization; I play around with it as time permits. I play the guitar. I play Xbox, but I refer to it as “the Halo machine” because that’s pretty much all I do with it.
